NovaLogic is developing a new first-person 3D action game called Maximum Overkill, building upon the success of its recent first-person game, Delta Force.

Set 50 years into the future, Maximum Overkill deals with the struggle of two worldwide forces, the New Reforms Coalition and the Alliance of Independent Republics. The game will feature 40 missions over various types of terrain, a new version of NovaLogic's VoxelSpace technology with 32-bit color, a selection of ten different air and ground vehicles, and AI-controlled soldiers that fix buildings.

Multiplayer games with 32 players will also be available on NovaLogic's free online service, NovaWorld.

"We are excited to deliver intense action with multiple air and ground combat vehicles in Maximum Overkill," said Mike Maza, the game's producer. "This will be an amazing addition to NovaLogic's multiplayer gameplay. Maximum Overkill encourages players to execute a wider range of tactical options as they interact with the challenge presented by fully functioning bases."

Maximum Overkill is due for release this summer.
