Nival to drop the Hammer & Sickle

Upcoming PC tactical role-playing game will be set in the Silent Storm universe.

Nival Interactive today announced Hammer & Sickle, a new tactical role-playing game codeveloped with Novik & Co. Nival Interactive has been busy lately, recently announcing the games Night Watch and Heroes of Might and Magic V.

Hammer & Sickle is set in the Silent Storm universe, a PC squad-based tactical strategy title released in January of 2004. Players will be tossed into a Cold War scenario as an undercover Soviet agent embroiled in growing international intrigue in occupied Germany of 1949. Thanks to an open-mission structure with a variety of tactical solutions for every event and a nonlinear story, players' actions will lead the world to peace or to World War III.

As an incognito agent, gamers will have to pay attention to the way they dress, talk, and to the amount of attention they draw to themselves. And if that doesn't float their boats, there's always 90 authentic WWII and postwar weapons to choose from.

Unfortunately, there's no telling when it will be Hammer (& Sickle) time, as Nival has yet to announce a release date for the title.
