Nintendo Switch Predictions: Price, Release Date, & Launch Games

The Nintendo Switch reveal is upon us! At 8pm PST tonight, Nintendo will finally show off its upcoming console, and we expect to learn the price, release date, launch games, and much more. But as our article predicting 7 things that are going to happen in in gaming in 2017 shows, we love to try and predict the future. Below you'll find an assortment of prognostications from the GameSpot team outlining what we think Nintendo is going to reveal.

Note that we're purposefully leaving out a few of the obvious titles (like Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario, and the Wii U ports shown off during the system's reveal).

Justin Haywald, Managing Editor

• Price: $199
• Release Date: March 17
• Launch Game Prediction: A compilation game (like Wii Play and Nintendo Land) that shows off the capabilities of the system through an assortment of fun minigames.

• Release Date: March 30
• Launch Game Prediction: There'll be a smattering of third-party support, so I'm expecting something from Ubisoft (a Rabbids game or Just Dance, perhaps?).

• Release Date: March 18 or 19. WEEKEND LAUNCH.
