Like turning left? Think you can do it better than others? GameSpot has announced its latest sponsored tournament, the Nascar SimRacing Pedal to the Metal Challenge. The tourney begins next Wednesday, February 22, and concludes on Friday, February 24. Registration gets the green flag tomorrow, February 16, at 3 p.m. PST.

The driver who takes home the checkered flag in the final won't be drinking milk. Rather, the winner will get a $1,250 gift certificate to electronics store NewEgg.com. Second and third place will receive NewEgg gift certificates in denominations of $750 and $500, respectively.

Gamers looking to gear up for the big race should pop in their copy of Nascar SimRacing for the PC, and practice some runs on the Daytona International Speedway, as all races will take place on that course. The finals will be Webcast live on GameSpot's Tournament TV.

For more information, head over to the tournament's home page.
