Following the release of the first images from Netflix's upcoming Vultron reboot in March, the streaming site today launched a new trailer for the show.

The reboot of the classic '80s cartoon Voltron, titled Legendary Defender, was announced earlier this year as part of a deal between the streaming giant and DreamWorks Animation.

The new show will consist of 13 22-minute episodes, all of which will be available for streaming on June 10.

Legendary Defender will focus on five teenagers who are thrown into the midst of an intergalactic war. In March, executive producer Lauren Montgomery explained that her team were given complete freedom by DreamWorks to develop the new show. "We're trying to keep as much of that classic feel to it as we can," she said. "Ultimately we have huge amounts of nostalgia for [the original] show."

The original Voltron was a Japanese-American co-production that ran for three seasons between 1984 and 1986. The show was created from two Japanese shows--Beast King GoLion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV--with new dialogue and storylines created for the American market. It proved hugely popular, spawning spinoff shows, comic books, and video games.

DreamWorks Animation was recently acquired by Comcast for $3.8 billion.
