New screens: Sea Dogs II

Russia-based developer Akella released a new group of screenshots from its upcoming pirate role-playing game, Sea Dogs II. The new screenshots show off some of the ships and environments that will appear in the game, as well as one of the characters that players will encounter.

Sea Dogs II is the sequel to Sea Dogs, a game released last November by Bethesda. The new game will feature a number of improvements on its predecessor, including additional role-playing elements, expanded options for when the player is in town, a new game engine, and several new combat options. Sea Dogs II is in development at Akella, and it is scheduled for release in spring 2002. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
