LucasArts today released a new group of screenshots from its upcoming real-time strategy game, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds. The new screenshots show off some of the different units, environments, and structures that will be featured in the game. Galactic Battlegrounds is powered by Ensemble Studios' Genie engine, the technology used in Age of Empires II.

Players will command one of six main factions vying for control of the galaxy. The Wookiees, the Gungans, and the Royal Naboo are featured in the new screenshots above, and the Galactic Empire, the Rebel Alliance, and the Trade Federation are also included in the game. The game will feature more than 300 different units and structures. Along with its single-player campaigns, Galactic Battlegrounds will feature multiplayer support and a complete scenario editor.

Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds is scheduled for release this fall. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the game.
