New Quake III Arena Shots

Activision releases just a few additional shots of QIII Arena - until E3 next month that is.

Comments

Activision and id Software are maintaining their hush-hush attitude when it comes to Quake III Arena. But the companies did decide to let gamers in on a quick glimpse of the game. These three shots - released on Tuesday - give gamers an idea of how much Quake III Arena has grown. (Remember, there are only a handful of official shots on the Web.)

The first shot shows off the amazing amount of character detail as a female warrior takes on a Quake Marine beefed up with a triple-damage power-up. The second shots shows the Doom Marine on the floor after being taken down by a female warrior bearing the triple damage force power-up. As she turns from combat, another Quake Marine from the stairs puts her in his sights. Lastly, a Doom Marine shows off his firepower as he blasts enemies in a doorway.

While the shots are breathtaking, we're not sure we can make it until E3 to play. We'll tell you all about the game from the E3 show floor in LA.
