Interplay Entertainment today released a new group of screenshots from its upcoming multiplayer role-playing game Neverwinter Nights. The new screenshots show off the forest, rural, and sewer environments that will appear in the game, and several of the game's different characters and creatures can also be seen.

Neverwinter Nights is set in a medieval fantasy world, and it uses the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing system. It will include an extensive single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode that supports up to 64 players per server. The game uses an innovative dungeon master system that will let players create and run their own adventures.

Neverwinter Nights is in development at BioWare, the studio that created the popular Baldur's Gate role-playing game series, and it is scheduled for release this holiday season. For more information, take a look at our in-depth previews of the game.
