New Need For Speed Game Reveal Coming Very Soon

The next Need for Speed game will be announced very soon. A countdown clock on EA's website teases that the announcement will come at 6 AM PT on August 14. Apart from the Need for Speed logo, there is no further information available on the teaser website.

The announcement tomorrow comes right on schedule, as EA already said it planned to reveal the new Need for Speed soon ahead of a proper showing at Gamescom the week after.

The new Need for Speed game is expected to launch on console and PC before the end of March 2020. There have been rumours and speculation about the title of the game--references to Need for Speed: Heat have appeared online--but nothing is confirmed at this stage.

The most recent Need for Speed game, Payback, launched in 2017 to a mixed reception, including a 5/10 in GameSpot's review. The series is developed by EA's Ghost Games which has offices in Sweden, England, and Romania.
