New Mode for DC Tech Romancer

Become a hero and unlock hidden features in the Dreamcast version of Tech Romancer.

Comments

The Sega Dreamcast version of Capcom's Tech Romancer (known as Kikaioh in Japan) will have a new feature called the hero challenge mode. Similar to Virtua Fighter 2's ranking mode, it will let players fight CPU opponents. It will also let you earn prize money and a higher rank, depending on knowing your character's special moves, the time you spend defeating your opponent, and the amount of damage you take. Prize money lets you unlock several hidden features. In these hidden features, players can watch animation sequences of their favorite mechs, look up character profiles and mech specs in the game's database, and play minigames on the VMU.

Tech Romancer for the Sega Dreamcast is scheduled for a January 13, 2000 release for a price of 5800yen (about US$56) in Japan.
