New media: Super Mario Sunshine GameCube

This morning, Nintendo released a new batch of Super Mario Sunshine screenshots, revealing some of the game's finer details. One screen shows a close-up look at the aftereffects of a Yoshi stomp on one of the island's inhabitants. Mario and Yoshi leave behind a dust cloud as they bounce off an enemy, and the enemy is reduced to balls of colored matter after the stomp. Another screen shows Mario executing a butt-stomp on a stack of crates, leaving behind a streaking motion-blur trail.

Super Mario Sunshine is scheduled for release on Nintendo GameCube on August 26. Look for much more on the game in the coming weeks.
