Sammy Entertainment has released new screenshots from its bloody light gun game for the Dreamcast, Death Crimson OX. In the game, players assume the role of Kou Yanami, a young man who is attempting to rescue a girl who has been kidnapped by the mysterious SMO syndicate. Death Crimson OX will feature three gameplay modes. Story mode is a single-player mode complete with cinemas to conclude each stage. Mission mode allows players to take on any of the unlocked stages and go for the best time possible. Bullet mode asks players to conserve ammo and make sure that every shot counts. A multiplayer mode was mentioned in Sammy's press release for the game, but no concrete details have been announced.

Sammy stated that Death Crimson OX's control scheme will be easy to understand and will aid in the enjoyment of the multiplayer mode for novice players thanks to an adjustable gun-sight setting. As players progress through the story mode, Kou's life bar increases as he kills enemies. Death Crimson OX for the Dreamcast is currently scheduled for release in August. We'll have more news on the game as it breaks.
