New media: Dead to Rights

Namco releases new screenshots from its cinematic action-adventure game.

Comments

Dead to Rights, Namco's action-adventure game, was one of the most impressive PlayStation 2 games at the recently concluded E3 in Los Angeles. Now, the company has released several new screenshots from the game. In the game, players assume the role of Jack Slate, a cop framed for murder. At the game's onset, Slate escapes from prison and sets out to exact revenge on those who set him up and killed his father. The game takes a cinematic approach to its action sequences, as players are able to leap backward and sideways in slow motion during the general course of the gameplay. Outside of the weapons-based combat, the lead character also has several hand-to-hand attack moves at his disposal.

Dead to Rights will be released for the PlayStation 2 in Q1 2002.
