Crave Entertainment today officially confirmed Mag Force Racing for the Sega Dreamcast. Developed by VCC Entertainment, the company behind Killer Loop for the PlayStation, Mag Force puts gamers into gravity-defying, futuristic racers suspended in air. Players can race upside down or on the sides of multi-dimensional tracks, as they drive through nine futuristic environments including Moscow, Hawaii, Mars, and Needle Rock. Other gameplay features include an all new four-player "scramble" mode, four skill levels, 22 unique racing pods, and offensive and defensive power ups.

The game takes place in the near future, when the world's gasoline supplies have dwindled. To combat this phenomenon, the best engineering minds from around the world have developed magneto-kinetic driving technology. Eventually, the long stretches of asphalt highway are replaced by twisting tubes of metal, to accommodate the electromagnetic vehicles. Racing circuits are also developed, taking advantage of the blistering speeds of these futuristic cars, and naturally, the Mag Force races are born.

Mag Force combines vehicle combat elements, like the use of lasers, land mines, and homing missiles, with brisk 360 degree racing action. The game will be released for the Dreamcast in Q2, 2000.
