Sierra Studios has released some new gameplay footage from its upcoming real-time strategy game Empire Earth. The new video trailer runs for just under one minute, and it shows off an in-game recreation of the D-Day battle in World War II. The scene includes a wide variety of units, including aircraft, ships, and land-based units. World War II is just one of a number of historical events that will be included in the game. Sierra has previously released other video trailers for the game that feature the Bronze Age, the Industrial Age, and the future.

In Empire Earth, players will take control of a small civilization and guide it through the course of 500,000 years of human history. The game is currently in development at Stainless Steel Studios, and it is scheduled for release in August.
