Moscow-based Buka Entertainment today released new screenshots from Echelon: Wind Warriors, its upcoming expansion pack for its sci-fi flight combat game, Echelon. The new screens show off some of the futuristic aircraft that will appear in the game, along with some detailed environments and weapon effects.

Echelon: Wind Warriors will add a new single-player campaign with more than 40 missions, new units and weapons, and an improved multiplayer mode. Players assume the role of an expert pilot, and they must complete a series of mission objectives across a detailed 3D continent that takes seven hours of flight time to cross. A new feature included in the expansion will let players call in ground units, antiaircraft units, and other aircraft to help complete missions.

Echelon: Wind Warriors is scheduled for release next summer. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the expansion.
