New Dishonored Comics, Novels Will Fill in Story Before Sequel's Release

Bethesda has announced a series of Dishonored novels and comics that will "take readers back to the city of Dunwall" and bridge the gap between the first game and its upcoming sequel.

"Dishonored fans will soon be able to see the Empire of the Isles in a completely new way," it said. "Set 12 years after the events of the first game, the four-part series will follow the supernatural assassin Corvo Attano as he searches for an apprentice and confronts faces from his past."

The four issue series will be written by Gordon Rennie (White Trash and 2000 AD), with art from Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo (Batman Beyond and Old Man Logan).

The first issue will be released on August 3, with the three following issues arriving on September 7, September 28, and October 19. The series will then be collected and released as a graphic novel on November 29.

Dishonored - The Corroded Man, is the first in a three-part novel series written by Adam Christopher (The Burning Dark, LA Trilogy, and The Shield) will also be released later this year. The second and third books "are scheduled for 2017 and will continue the stories of Corvo and Emily Kaldwin."

Dishonored 2 is being developed by Arkane Studios in Lyon, France. A confirmed Dishonored 2 release date of November 11 was previously revealed. For more on the game, read our recent Dishonored 2 preview and interview with its developer.

Arkane Studios in Austin, meanwhile, is rumoured to be working on Prey 2. Recent updates to the Prey 2 and Prey 3 domains have sparked speculation that Bethesda may reintroduce the game at E3 2016 in June.
