Following a live-action trailer that debuted on Monday, Bethesda today launched a new video for Dishonored 2 that shines a line on one of the protagonists, Emily Kaldwin.

Emily Kaldwin is one of Dishonored 2's playable protagonists, the other being her father, Corvo Attano. The story is the same, but is told from two different perspectives. For the sequel, both characters are fully voiced, with Thief's Stephen Russell as Corvo and Erica Luttrell as Emily.

In this new video, director Harvey Smith and other developers talk about Emily and her motivations, which principally is taking back the empire so that she can do right by the people. One of her abilities on display in the video is far reach, which lets her grab enemies from far away.

Another power is called domino. This links the fate of different characters in the world so that what happens to one also happens to another. Watch the video to learn more.

"From a character design standpoint we say that Emily's pillars are: Empress, Dunwall, Assassin," Smith explained. "She was an Empress one day, the next day she's on the run."

Dishonored 2 launches on November 11 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Preordering Dishonored 2 grants you access to the full game a day early. On top of that, everyone who preorders will get a free copy of Dishonored: Definitive Edition.
