Also during the stream, Bungie talked about how it doesn't want to reveal everything related to the Cosmodrome and Plaguelands, so that players can discover things for themselves.

Additionally, the next Destiny Rise of Iron reveal event will take place during Gamescom in August. This will be themed around the Crucible multiplayer mode; Bungie will show off new maps and a new combat mode, as well as "other features."

The original story is below.

Destiny fans eager to learn more about September's Rise of Iron expansion can tune into a livestream for the content starting today at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

As announced previously, this livestream event focuses on Destiny's Cosmodrome and the wintry changes players can expect with Rise of Iron. You can watch it below.

Rise of Iron is Destiny's fourth expansion, following The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and The Taken King. It launches on September 20 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One--but not PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It comes with new armor and gear, as well more quests, weapons, and Crucible maps. The expansion also introduces a new raid and increases the maximum Light level.

Bungie is also bringing back the famous Gjallarhorn weapon for Rise of Iron.

In other Rise of Iron news, Bungie has shown off some of the new gear that Hunters and Warlocks can unlock when the content comes out.

We'll update this post with news from the stream as it's announced. What are you hoping to see? Let us know in the comments below.
