The day after it revealed that work is underway on a sequel to Neverwinter Nights, Atari has announced it is rereleasing the original game--and all of its expansion packs--in a single bundle.

Scheduled to ship this October, the Neverwinter Nights Platinum Edition will contain Neverwinter Nights, its June 2003 expansion Shadows of Undrentide, and its December 2003 expansion Hordes of the Underdark. It will also include the Neverwinter Nights Aurora Toolset, which allows players to create their own quests, adventures, and storylines. The entire package will cost only $39.95.

All set in the Forgotten Realms Universe, the Neverwinter Nights series incorporates the Dungeons & Dragons 3.0 rules into a 3D fantasy role-playing game. Together, the games contain over 100 hours of single-player adventuring in the form of three different campaigns that include high-level characters. Check the gamespaces for detailed previous coverage on each chapter in the Neverwinter Nights saga.
