Comic-Con has already had some major trailer debuts, but the one many people have been waiting for has just arrived. Netflix dropped a full-length Sandman trailer during the show's panel in Hall H on Saturday.

The highly-anticipated show, based on the comics by Neil Gaiman, debuts on the streaming service on August 5. And to get people excited at SDCC about it, the very first full-length trailer for the series dropped and it will undoubtedly get Sandman fans pumped for the series. Check it out below.

"What I'm really excited about is that in less than two weeks, everyone's going to see what we made," Gaiman told those in attendance at Hall H, including GameSpot's Mason Downey. "I'm so excited about it. I'm so proud of it."

And tying back to the comics, Sandman artist Dave McKean created the end credit art for the show, and each episode is different.

The show follows Morpheus--AKA Sandman AKA the King of Dreams--who is one of the Endless, personifications of life-governing concepts. Morpheus has been ensnared by a human magician in a trap and was trying to catch Death instead. Morpheus has been kept in a cage, and his entrapment caused a panic around the globe as people lost the ability to dream--and some people could no longer wake from their slumber. Morpheus eventually escapes, but his powers have weakened.

The series stars Tom Strurridge as Morpheus, Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine and Donna Preston as Despair.

Sandman arrives on Netflix on August 5.

In other Comic-Con news for Saturday, trailers for Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods both arrived during the Warner Bros. panel. There's still a lot to come as the day will close out with a Marvel panel, which will surely be filled with huge announcements.
