Netflix Marvel Series Landing On Disney Plus March 16

Marvel's Netflix series such as Jessica Jones and Daredevil are headed to Disney+ in the United States on March 16 along with Agents of SHIELD. The former were removed from Netflix, recently. A release indicates that these Marvel series will also be available across all other Disney+ markets later this year.

This means that fans who were bummed or potentially just about to finally watch Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and Defenders will get another chance in a few weeks--hopefully for good. Marvel says this switch--which quietly began in early February--is intended to give "fans access to more from the Marvel collection, all in one place."

"Disney+ has served as the home for some of the most beloved brands in the industry, and the addition of these live-action shows brings more from the Marvel brand together, all in one place," said Michael Paull, president of Disney Streaming. "We have experienced great success with an expanded content offering on Disney+ across our global markets."

Additionally, US subscribers to the streaming service will be gaining the ability to set parental controls and peruse "enhanced content ratings" and gate access with PINs.

Elsewhere in the franchise, Marvel also announced a new collaboration with Epic Games' Fortnite for an upcoming five-part comic book crossover titled Fortnite X Marvel: Zero War. The series is slated to kick off sometime this June.
