Electronic Arts on Wednesday released a teaser image for this year's new Need for Speed game. The image, shared on Need for Speed's social channels, is captioned: "Are you ready for the next chapter?"

The image shows a green car with the word "Speedhunters" featured on the vehicle's wheel. Speedhunters is the name of EA's own car culture community. This suggests the group will have some role to play in the new Need for Speed game, but of course, this is not confirmed.

The car featured in the image here appears to be the same one from the first teaser image released on Monday. Many are speculating that the game could be a new installment in the Need for Speed Underground series.

Whatever the case, this year's Need for Speed game will be officially revealed tomorrow, May 21. GameSpot will have all the Need for Speed news for you as it's announced.

Back in January, EA said the game was "already looking spectacular." The new Need for Speed is currently in development at Sweden-based studio Ghost Games.

2014 was the first year without a new, core Need for Speed title release in over a decade. In May 2014, EA confirmed that it would not launch new entry in the franchise until 2015 so that the project could have an "extended development window."
