More Free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games Now Available

With the calendar now flipped to October, the first of the month's free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games are now available. These games, Valiant Hearts: The Great War (Xbox One) and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (Xbox 360), are free for Xbox Live Gold members as part of the Games With Gold program. Even if you don't have an Xbox 360, it's probably still worth picking up this month's last-generation games, as they could one day be made playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

As part of the Games With Gold program, you'll have access to any of the free Xbox One games for as long as you remain a subscriber. Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 games are yours to keep forever, regardless of your membership status.
