LOS ANGELES--Midway has announced that it will be contributing three games to the ever-expanding lineup of PlayStation Portable games. All three are established Midway franchises and will appeal to a broad range of gamers. Details on the games are still being kept under wraps, until the expo opens its show floor later today.

Mortal Kombat: Deception will be fighting on the PSP. The series is famous for its fierce brutality, deadly "fatality" moves, and unique characters. The series has seen nearly 60 different iterations since it debuted in the arcades back in 1992. The portable version will include the adventure konquest mode, a puzzle game, and the one-on-one fighting action that the series is known for.

NBA Ballers takes to the portable court, fresh off its surprising showing in retail last April. The blacktop street hoops series pits NBA players in not-so-professional settings, including the local schoolyard and pro ballers' backyards. Gamers acquire bling and respect as they go one-on-one with fictional and real-life players. The PSP version will feature more than 60 current players and 24 old-time legends.

Midway Arcade Treasures takes the classics of the old coin-op arcades and shrinks them onto the PSP. Midway will bring Spy Hunter, Defender, Rampart, and more. Wireless capability is included, with some games supporting up to four players simultaneously.
