Microids has announced that it will publish the real-time strategy game Warrior Kings, which is in development at Black Cactus. The game was recently dropped by Sierra due to concerns that the game would not make a 2001 release. According to David Glover, the managing director of Microids UK, "Microids is aiming for an end-of-November release date, prior to which the game will be fine-tuned to meet the extremely high expectations of the market."

Warrior Kings is a real-time strategy game set in the mythical medieval land of Orbis. It features a variety of single-player scenario missions and a full campaign, as well as multiplayer support for up to eight players. The game includes 66 types of structures and 94 different types of units. During the course of the game's campaign, players will have to decide which path they wish to follow--good, evil, or neutral. The ultimate goal is to conquer the land of Orbis and unite it under a single ruler.
