Mark Hamill, Kiefer Sutherland, Shaq Will Present at Game Awards
Plus, show organizer hopeful that Hideo Kojima will attend, too.
With just a couple days to go before The Game Awards, show organizer Geoff Keighley has revealed that Mark Hamill, Kiefer Sutherland, and Shaquille O'Neal will present at the event.
Each man has ties to gaming. Sutherland voiced Snake in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which is nominated for overall Game of the Year. Hamill, meanwhile, has a role in Star Citizen. As for Shaq, he has his own video game called Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn.
In addition to these celebrities, the Deadmau5 and the band Chvrches will perform during the event.
The Game Awards take place on Thursday, December 3, starting at 6 PM PST / 9 PM EST. There will be at least 10 "world premieres" during the show, including a first look at Far Cry Primal gameplay, the reveal of a new DLC character for Mortal Kombat X, and new Quantum Break gameplay and live-action footage. Palmer Luckey will also make a "special announcement" during the show.
Speaking on Periscope today, Keighley also said he's hopeful that Hideo Kojima will appear at the Game Awards. However, whether or not he makes it remains to be seen.
"Wish I knew the answer to that," he said when asked if Kojima would be involved. Keighley added that he's "anxiously awaiting" to find out if Kojima will attend.
Kojima reportedly left Konami in October.
