MageLords, Crimson Order up in the air

Austin, Texas-based game developer Kinesoft has closed its doors and is hoping to sell its projects to another game company. GameSpot recently spoke with Kinesoft CEO Peter Sills about the possibility of another company buying the rights to Kinesoft's intellectual property, which includes the tactical action game Crimson Order and the real-time strategy game MageLords, both of which were in development when the company closed.

Kinesoft filed a court case against Softbank and Ronald Fisher in 1999 over Softbank's refusal to honor its obligations under a 1997 agreement between the companies. Kinesoft later added a claim against Ronald Fisher for a breach of fiduciary duty. Fisher is chairman of Softbank's US operations and a member of Kinesoft's board of directors.
