Lorelei And The Laser Eyes, The Next Game From Device 6 Devs, Launches In May

Today's Indie World presentation revealed when Simogo's next puzzler will drop.

After confounding players with peculiar puzzles in Device 6 and Year Walk and tapping toes with the musical Sayonara Wild Hearts, Simogo has been teasing its next adventure, Lorelei And The Laser Eyes, since June of 2022. Today, during Nintendo's latest Indie World livestream, the studio announced the game will launch for Nintendo Switch on May 16.

Lorelei And The Laser Eyes is a non-linear puzzle game starring the titular Lorelei, who is invited to what looks like an old European hotel at first glance, but quickly turns into a living nightmare. The player, as Lorelei, must solve puzzles and venture through the hotel in order to figure out what's happening and escape.

Now Playing: LORELEI AND THE LASER EYES | Release Date Trailer

The game will feature over 100 puzzles with "shifting mechanics and perspectives" according to Simogo, with each puzzle bringing Lorelei closer to the truth. The trailer that premiered during the Indie World event shows a few examples of what players can expect, including a combination-lock puzzle, pieces of paper that connect to form an image, and a clue in an envelope delivered by a cute black dog.

This release date was one of many announcements during today's Indie World presentation, which also saw the announcements of Steamworld Heist 2 and the ports of previous Apple Arcade exclusives Stitch and TMNT: Splintered Fates. Other games receiving release dates during the event were Cat Quest 3 (August 8), AntonBlast (November 12), and Duck Detective: The Secret Salami (May 23).

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes launches May 16 on Nintendo Switch, with a PC version to follow later this year.
