The Surge, the new action-RPG from Lords of the Fallen developer Deck 13, will launch in May 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the studio announced today.

Additionally, Deck 13 put out a new CGI trailer for the game that shows main character Warren having a tough day at the office at his job at the fictional megacorporation CREO. Take a look:

"Freshly recruited as an augmented worker at CREO, Warren's first day coincides with a catastrophic event during the routine surgical operation meant to graft--through flesh and bone--employee exo-suits. This marks the first in a series of brutal events, turning this first day at CREO into a hellish nightmare of robots gone haywire, crazed employees with fried cranial implants, and artificial intelligence who all want Warren dead."

Using his exoskeleton, Warren is faster and stronger. He can also target specific areas on enemies and once defeated, use those items in his own exosuit.

The Surge will be published by Farming Simulator company Focus Home Interactive.

In other news about Deck 13, it has been confirmed that the German studio will not be involved in the upcoming Lords of the Fallen sequel.
