Oscar-winning actor Ke Huy Quan starred in Season 2 of the Marvel TV show Loki, and now he wants to be in another gigantic Disney franchise: Star Wars. Speaking to Collider, Quan said he got the chance to meet Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and simply asked to appear in the series.

"I was shameless when I saw Kathy! I went up to give her a big hug. And I said, 'Kathy, Kathy, please put me in the Star Wars universe!' And what's so great about it, if you think about it, it's all under the Disney family, you know?"

Quan has a long history with Lucasfilm, as he played Short Round in 1984's Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. He played O.B. in Season 2 of Loki.

"I want to stay in the family. It's great," Quan said of potentially landing a Star Wars role in the future.

Quan is also known for playing Data in 1985's The Goonies. He won an Oscar for his role in the 2022 movie Everything Everywhere All at Once. As for Loki, Season 2 just wrapped up. All episodes are now streaming on Disney+.

As for the Star Wars series, there are multiple new movies in the works now, including a film that brings back Daisy Ridley as Rey. Thor director Taika Waititi is also making a Star Wars movie, but it's not expected to arrive anytime soon.

Beyond movies, there are a number of Star Wars TV projects in the works, including The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew.
