Left 4 Dead 2 X Resident Evil 6 crossover revealed

Free promotion will make Left 4 Dead 2 characters playable in Resident Evil 6 and vice versa only on PC.

'

Capcom announced today a new free crossover promotion that will bring the characters and creatures from Left 4 Dead 2 to Resident Evil 6 and vice versa.

Left 4 Dead 2 heroes Coach, Ellis, Rochelle, and Nick will be available as playable characters in Resident Evil 6's PC-exclusive No Mercy mode.

In addition to the four Left 4 Dead 2 characters, two special infected zombies from Valve's game--the Witch and the Mini Tank--will appear in Resident Evil 6's No Mercy mode.

Resident Evil 6 for PC launches March 22, but the crossover content won't arrive until April 5. It will be automatically downloaded in the background, Capcom said.

Not only are Left 4 Dead 2 characters and creatures coming to Resident Evil 6, but the crossover will also work the other way around. Resident Evil 6 enemies Lepotitsa, Napad, and Ogroman will be available in Left 4 Dead 2 sometime this spring. Capcom said these enemies were created by Valve developers using Steam Workshop tools.

Images of the crossover promotion are available below.

What I'd give to hear Nick scream "TITS" every time he gets knocked down and stands back up.

That's awesome too bad it's only for the PC. Hey resident evil 6 haters; fuck off and actually play the game and stop being little GameSpot sheep and learn to form your own opinion. It's sad seeing how close minded people are. Think for yourself!!!

They really should have called Left for Dead 2 "Left 2 Die."

And then they could have called this DLC "Left 2 Die in the 6th Residence of Evil" or something.

You know, I'm playing through RE6 right now. I really do not understand where all the vitriol and poor reviews stemmed from. I'm having fun with it.

That's kind of cool actually. At least in my opinion.

Will they have original voices in each game? Hope so.

That was the next logical step, since RE 6 feels a lot like Left 4 Dead.

That's actually awesome. I don't plan on buying RE6 but some new content for L4D2 is always welcomed.

I just hope the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will be better than the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version of Resident Evil 6.

I hope Valve makes the next Resident Evil game. You know it would be really really good.

I would be interested if RE6 wasn't such a pos game.

@TheIfym20 Sorry, but I actually played the game, and it's terrible. Bad as a Resident Evil game, not good enough for an action game + Full of unnecessary quick time events. The maximum you can say about it(and only if you're feeling quite generous and kind) is that it's an average game.

@advancedcaveman Left 2 die is actaully a great title, however becuase its a sequel it might be hard for some people to realize that from the title alone.

@interrasteral7 The game will at least do the normal look better, run better, play better that the PC version does. Though with all the quick time events it makes me wonder how much of that stayed. I know there were some parts that required a bit of mashing which doesn't work well with a keyboard.

Having to button mash qtes on my keyboard just never feels good.

@DrKill09 Wait for the PC review of RE6. It'll get 70-80. It's a great game.

@ComicAcer @TheIfym20 I think it's pretty good. Looking at it from an angle of it being its own thing, it's quite enjoyable.

@interrasteral7 @cynicalundead   Apparently, neither does Capcom anymore.

@Cloud_imperium @Kaz32 @DrKill09 You'll be surprised at how good RE6 is. Revelations will dissapoint you. I played it and the game is so stupid. All the side characters are fashion victims with ridiculous hairs and clothes. It ruins the entire horror experience. Though its pretty good.

@santinegrete @Kaz32

Go get it. Its in the ps3 or xbox360 online demo section and its free. The game is soooooo unfair. One battle is too long, takes up 10 minutes with no checkpoint and with 3 waves of enemies. if you dont know the strategy to beat it, you have to start ALL over again from the start of that battle and take another 10 minutes to complete it. Beware the game will make you pull your hair out.

I finally passed the level. Took me 50 tries but i did it. FUCK YOU annoying enemies!

@santinegrete @Kaz32 @tomouse84 @DrKill09

I change my mind. I Change my mind I CHANGE my mind. No, When I think about it, Dead Space 3 is not that frustating. Nonono, its annoying to backtrack and its annoying that the plasma cutter, the best weapon in the series, is now reduced to a peashooter that takes 2 shots just to cut a limb. I have found a game even more frustrating that I will throw my controller away.

Ninja Gaiden 3 Razors Edge demo. I dare you to play it. I have to repeat 1 section 30 times and I STILL HASNT GOT PAST THOSE ANNOYING BARE FISTED ASSHOLES!!!!! Now I remember that there is such thing as unfair difficulty. This is just trolling.

Kaz32

@santinegrete @Kaz32

I finished it in 15 hours, but thats because of the tedious and annoying backtracking. Without them the game will be around 8 to 9 hours. Too bad the ending dlc makes the satisfying ending of DS3 completely worthless. Now dead space is like Mass Effect all over again. Fighting brother moons this time instead lf reapers. Damn ea, when will they stop making endings suck?

Kaz32
Kaz32

@santinegrete @Kaz32 @DrKill09

I would rate the game appropriately. I mean there's 3 campaigns in the game. I treat them as seperate games, and they all took 30 hours to finish in total. That's equal to the entire Modern Warfare trilogy + dead space in 1 disk. That itself is already good value, unlike these other games Crysis 3, Call of Bullshit, Dead Space 3 or even God of War prequel number 3 that's just made with the same old crap as before. At the same price as RE6

Leon: 90

Chris: 70

Jake: 85

And Ada's: 75

Theres 3 games in 1 + added extra campaign, and Mercenaries mode. Thats a huge value for money right there, and they're all fun as hell too. Im actually still playing it right now and I dont know which campaign to pick cause everyone of these are so different. The one that I repeat the most is Jake's campaign mission 3, and the final boss. Epic stuff.

santinegrete

@Kaz32 @santinegrete @DrKill09 there's something to like in RE6, I think even Kevin said that. You just have dig trough the game. Guess you friends were more patient. I honestly couldn't put down the game on Leons campaign and was surprised of how good the Chris campaign was, compared to what I expected. I give it a 6.5, but RE always was a game of 8.5, mínimum, so I just simply bitch out of dissapointment.

Kaz32
Kaz32

@tomouse84 @Kaz32 @santinegrete @DrKill09 In fact they are so annoying, I am forced to get 60 tungstens for 2 hours just to make a rocket launcher with a safety upgrade so I don't get damage from being too close to the explosion. Dead Space 3, surprisingly more action than RE6 and is almost similar, with tedious backtracking, stupid cliched story and asspulls out of nowhere to explain how a character that should have died survive. Still a good game.

Kaz32
Kaz32

@santinegrete @Kaz32 @DrKill09 10 of my friends that I recommend RE6 to enjoyed it more than Assassin's Creed 3 and Farcry 3. At first they're like "I dunno, you recommend me a game that got 4.5?" Then they played it themselves and they all said the same thing. I'll even quote what one of them said word by word:

"Wow, thanks for recommending me RE6 man. This game is awesome, it blows my mind. It kept me glued to the whole story and I like how each characters in one chapter can do coop with another person from another chapter. You're right in calling the reviews a lie cause I really have no idea how they say it's a bad game".

This is from the guy that hates Call of Duty, Assassin's Creed 3 and hated Farcry 3's story because the story is too cliched and predictable. I was afraid that he will hate the game but turns out I'm not crazy.

Kaz32
Kaz32

@WolfGrey @Kaz32 @DrKill09 What if I'm right? PC gamers has more logic and more reasoning than biased old RE fanboys you know. Lost Planet 2 for example. 70 on pc while it's 5.5 on consoles. That's a huge leap for a score.

No, you know what? I bet Kevin whoever he is will not even review the game. Either that or he'll give the game a tiny bit higher, like a 60. That's fine, sometimes he got it wrong. I don't believe people's reviews too easily. I believe in only looking at the average user scores as a whole, not from metacritic because they're just spamming lies. Assault Horizon got 5.5 but I played it and I loved it to death. I think it should get 80. Alpha Protocol too. Buggy as hell sure, but 10+ different ways to manipulate the characters in the game and make a different outcome each time makes it enjoyable and demands multiple playthroughs. Darksiders 2 8.5. Bored me to death because it's too monotonous. It's a good game sure, but it's too repetitive that it's just mediocre. Maybe I'll play it again after 2 years.
