Marvel have traditionally released its movies in the summer, but the upcoming Doctor Strange will hit theaters this November. A new trailer has been released, and it features lots of spectacular new footage. Check it out below:

Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch as mystical sorcerer Stephen Strange, and also features Chiwetel Ejiofor, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Benedict Wong, and Rachel McAdams. It is directed by Sinister's Scott Derrickson.

In a recent interview with Slashfilm, Cumberbatch spoke about his decision to play the film's lead character. "I've never done a lead role in a film this big, in a franchise this big," he said. "One of the reasons was, I wanted to know what the toy box was like. And it's just insane, the amount of facility that everyone gets, but the amount of artistry and craft that's brought to every aspect of filmmaking."

Cumberbatch also discussed the fact that fans had been suggesting that he would make a good Stephen Strange long before he was cast. "I'm flattered that people thought I was a good fit, and maybe that resonated with [Marvel's producers]," he said.

"It was hard at a point, because of the scheduling over this side of the Atlantic, so it's a massive compliment to me. To empower me to work for that idea of the character and then to accommodate my production of Hamlet and going into Sherlock Season 4, it's another reason to deliver every day, to fulfill that promise."

Doctor Strange hits theaters on November 4, 2016.
