Kuju readies PSP Project Interceptor for takeoff

European publisher Kuju Entertainment is joining the rush to publish for the PSP. Today, Kuju announced that its first title for the upcoming handheld has moved from prototype to full development.

The flight combat game is tentatively titled Project Interceptor. This is the first announced PSP title from the Surrey-based indie game developer that inked a deal with Sony to develop technology, game engines, and tools for the PSP back in March.

Though few details have been released about Project Interceptor, Kuju has stated that the game will feature multiplayer dogfights using the PSP's integrated Wi-Fi technology.

Kuju's previous work includes Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior for the PC and PlayStation 2, Microsoft Train Simulator for the PC, and Lotus Challenge for the Xbox and PS2. No publisher has been announced for Project Interceptor.
