Konami asking fans if they want Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance sequel

Publisher polling gamers about new entry in sequel and what they would like to see in it.

Konami has launched a new survey (via Eurogamer) gauging fan interest in a potential sequel to this year's multiplatform action game Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

The survey polls gamers about the title, how it was marketed, and why they did or did not buy it. At the end, the survey asks not only if players would buy a Revengeance sequel, but what features they would like to see in the game.

Some options include more stealth elements, longer game length, online multiplayer, elements of humor, and mechanics other than fighting, among other things. Check out the full online survey for more.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance launched for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in February. The PC version will launch later this year.

Of course, we need sequel for this awesome game, please make the gameplay more longer, 20+ hrs maybe, Awesome soundtrack when fighting with the bosses especially the last one, "Armstrong"

Yes! The only problem I had with this game was the length. On an easy difficulty you can run through the content of this game in a couple of hours.
In my opinion the difficulty shouldn't be adjusted, I understand that this game is challenging but that's what platinum is known for.
I've did two playthroughs of this game one on Normal and the other on Revengence.
This game brought a lot of replay value to itself. I enjoyed normal so much which was the main reason I even attempted Revengence.

I understand that this game is short but when you play this game on Revengence it's no easy cake walk in which you have to play the game in a very stealthy aspect as even with 200% life you can get killed in 1 hit. I died over 700 times on Revengence, but I did beat it. I really did appreciate what this game was for when i played it this way.

Very challenging game on Revengence especially in Chapter 4. Lol

YES. The sequel should be easier, better story and longer; at least 20 hours game play. I'll buy...

Yes, Yes and YES again!!!

This game NEEDS a sequel. I'll buy it on launch date and won't stop playing until the game falls apart!

A calmer way of saying this would be: "Yes please, Kojima. We would be very grateful if you and your colleagues were to make a sequel to such a fantastic game."

はいお願いします小島あなたとあなたの同僚は、このような素晴らしいゲームに続編を作ることだった場合、我々は非常に感謝するだろう

YES!!! the sequel must have more epic bosses, more weapons, be as long as MGSIV, human enemies, and New Music. Also * Cue Im My Own Master Now Chorus* Its Up To Us To Make Sure That Awesome Game's Stay Alive

it will be a good to have a sequel but this time have a stealth system so we can play the game in a stealth like mode or remove stealth kills completely dont tease me with stealth kills when you dont have a proper stealth system in the game

The survey ended the moment I answered a question with "I am not interested in Rising Revengence" - despite previously mentioning that I own every MGS title.

I was expecting to be asked why I wasn't interested and what would make me interested, but nothing of the sort came up. Shame, because I really want my voice to be heard on the matter by the people who matter, and can make a difference.

Is this sequel next gen. only? Either ill pick it up as long as Konami:)

With Gray Fox, yeah. To be honest, they should have just left Raiden alone, unless it was a game bridging the gap between MGS2 and 4. Raiden had his closure in MGS4, there was no need to just open everything up all over again.

I found MGRR to be a hard game. It's a series of over the top boss fights where you have to block then attack.

The problem for me was blocking was very hard to pull off. I would spend almost an hour on each boss fight dying non stop until i got the blocks down.

That said i liked the story and graphics , the rock music sound track was good too.

I would say I'm on the fence about a sequel.

i hope if they could make it with FOX Engine, that would be exciting.

If they ask me, make it longer (like decent long, not CoD campaign long, that's no good), add good stealth, and while they're at it, make it open world too.

If they make it longer than 4 hours then ok

If they have to ask the question, doesn't that kind of answer itself?

Actually I'd prefer they ask about Castlevania SOTN 2

Was this game any good?

I played the demo and could not get into it. However I have heard some good things about it and I love beat em ups. Is the demo representative of the final product?

I'd like a dedicated block button for starters. I would like to also be able to go stealthy if I so choose. Kind of like Dishonored.

I wanted a game using the cut mechanic they made, instead we got some shitty game not even made by him.

Sure, but not if it means having to wait the SLIGHTEST BIT longer for a main storyline Metal Gear Solid game (Starring Snake of course!)

No, thanks Konami. I already have Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2.

I liked rising but got bored with it quick cause of the short length the level design felt lacking. I would love a sequel if it is made longer and has more open level design.

Give us the promised PC version first. After I have played it (not bought it because of late release) then we'll talk about a sequel.

Normally I'd say yes to an amazing game like this but this time I guess I disagree. MGR, imo, was an amazing game which like other Metal Gears you just can't stop playing and so that's why I'm actually sort of scared that the sequel may not live up to the first ones reputation and it'll be a big letdown for me. Though if it was made I would definitely buy it.

PC Version... After abstaining the whole seventh generation of game consoles (the last console I played was PS1) for a PC, we're finally getting a Metal Gear game on PC.

I'm looking forward to this.

Really? A PC Version will be released this year... This will be something I'll look forward to.

A sequel would be great... Hoping for more stealth kills, more finishing manuevers, more ninja weapons and some character appearances from the MG Series...

Why would Kojima just make a Metal Gear Liquid game after The Phantom Pain and Ground Zeroes...

I literally just bought this game because I waited for a price drop due to how short the game was. I like it so far but PLEASE make the game longer. You will attract a lot more buyers.

Abdulrahman1981

Gray Fox was the Ninja in MGS 1, I don't know why Kojima chose Raiden to be the Protagonist in the game. It didn't make sense!

Nevertheless, it was an amazing game:)

sallylicklick

@Elder Mouchlas I love when people whine about STEALTH, none of the MGS games REQUIRED stealth unless throwing shaft grenades was so exciting because that's such a good stealth mechanic. Sniper has more stealth than MGS, go play that since you want stealth so bad.

Hairygrim
Hairygrim

@Tadgerot The demo is not as good as the game itself (one of the worse levels). If you enjoyed the mechanics but not the level itself (the game is pretty much all about the boss battles & LQ-84i wasn't one of the better ones) then I'd recommend it; if not then it's probably not for you.

sallylicklick
sallylicklick

@stud33heisman Sure Snake will come in a wheelchair with Otacon pushing it while Snake fights cyborgs, great idea!

sallylicklick

@Jason Brown Just because you can't beat it doesn't mean it's a bad game, and how is MGS2 a let down because of Raiden!? He played EXACTLY the same; actually better.

@Jason Brown

i think it's "every game with Raiden as main character has been a let down..."

MGS4 had Raiden in it and it was like my second favorite Metal Gear Solid game!

@Abdulrahman1981 he didn't, he has said time and again he wanted grey fox but his team wanted raiden so he gave in and let them put raiden in it
