Koei has date with Dynasty Warriors
Expansion/stand-alone to Dynasty Warriors 5 set for mid-November release; new game has 18 additional stories, Destiny mode.
One of the most prolific series is once again about to add to its stock. Koei has announced that Dynasty Warriors 5 Extreme Legends will be available on November 15. The PlayStation-2-exclusive game can be played both as a stand-alone product and as an expansion to Dynasty Warriors 5.
Extreme Legends can be added to DW5's musou and free modes for more hack-and-slash action in feudal China. On its own, Extreme Legends offers 18 new maps, five new modes, and several new character combinations. Cooperative play has been added via the xtreme mode, and the dynasty mode lets players rise up the ranks from foot soldier to field general.
