Interplay Goes With Virgin

Life can be tough. Just ask Interplay Entertainment and Virgin Interactive, two companies who have had their share of bittersweet news to report over the past year or so. On Tuesday, the two said they would work together to exploit the markets each knows best in hopes of improving business.

In an agreement announced on Tuesday, Virgin will distribute almost the entire Interplay games list in Europe and Interplay will return the favor by distributing Virgin titles in North America, South America and other territories including Japan. As past of the deal Interplay and its management has acquired 49.9 percent ownership interest in Virgin.
