Nintendo's high-profile smartphone game Super Mario Run launched today for iOS devices. In addition to Mario, the game lets you play as other characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, but how do you unlock them? Now that the game is out, it's been revealed that there are five unlockable characters, some of which are only obtainable if you pay.

First, you can unlock Toad by linking your My Nintendo account to Super Mario Run. Peach can be obtained by finishing the game's 24 World Tour levels. The other three characters, Yoshi, Toadette, and Luigi, can be unlocked by purchasing certain items in the Kingdom Builder mode using in-game items.
