EA Sports' upcoming professional football game Madden NFL 16 will be playable first on Xbox One through EA Access. Now, EA Sports has confirmed that the trial will begin August 20 (a full five days before the game's August 25 release date) and let you play for a period of 10 hours.

This is an increase from last year, when EA Sports offered a trial for Madden NFL 15 through EA Access for just six hours.

Madden NFL 16 is also coming to PlayStation 4, as well as last-generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. EA Access, however, is available only on Xbox One.

Last month, Microsoft announced a new 1TB Xbox One bundle that comes with a copy of Madden NFL 16 and a 12-month EA Access membership.

Trials are just one benefit of EA Access, which costs $5/month or $30/year. Subscribers also receive access to a growing library of free games and get a 10 percent discount on all EA digital content.
