Halo, Minecraft, FIFA Spoofed by Plants vs. Zombies
"Aloe 5: Gardening," "Vinecraft," and "Leafa 16" are just a few examples; see the full gallery here.
The Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 marketing campaign has begun--and we like what we're seeing so far. The game's Twitter account today posted a handful of mock-up posters for what popular gaming franchises would look like and be called if they were actually Plants vs. Zombies games.
The results are excellent.
There's "Leafa 16" and "Untangle," as well as riffs on Microsoft franchises, including "Aloe 5: Gardening" and "Vinecraft." EA and Microsoft partnered to officially announce Garden Warfare 2 for Xbox One during Microsoft's E3 briefing in June. The game is also coming to PC and PlayStation 4.
Garden Warfare 2 is a sequel to 2014's original Garden Warfare, which GameSpot critic Carolyn Petit enjoyed for its lighthearted tone and colorful, appealing environments. The sequel introduces new plant and zombie types, and is scheduled to launch in spring 2016 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
