Rockstar has revealed the first details of Grand Theft Auto V's next big update, with this one set to introduce motorcycle clubs to GTA Online.

The new update is called Bikers and allows players to form biker gangs of up to eight players. There will be different roles in the club (prospects and presidents are both mentioned), which can partake in "a massive slate of new competitive and co-op gameplay." Details of those activities weren't shared, but Rockstar talks in its announcement about ascending the ranks of your gang and building a lucrative business.

Additionally, the Bikers update will add new MC Clubhouse properties where you'll find a special biker mechanic, though there's no word on exactly what they do differently. And there will be a new slate of motorcycles, weapons, tattoos, and "appropriately themed" modes.

There's also a reference to "high-level, high-risk vehicle-based business adventures" that are coming to the game "soon," but it's unclear if that means as part of the Bikers update or a subsequent one.

References to a biker-focused update were found in July, when a player happened upon hidden code in the Cunning Stunts update.

A release date for the Bikers update wasn't shared, with Rockstar simply saying that it's coming "soon."
