G.O.D.'s Promised Lot

Gathering of Developers readies its lineup for this year's E3.

Comments

To take a gander at Gathering of Developer's lineup of games at this year's E3, don't look to any booth on the show floor. That's not to say G.O.D. won't be there, as the Dallas-based publisher has every intention of attending the Expo in Los Angeles. Instead, G.O.D. plans to showcase its lineup in what they call the "Promised Lot," a stand in the middle of a parking lot, located across from the show's main entrance.

Deviating from the traditional tradeshow booth will let G.O.D. do more than simply show off its games. Daily doses of live music, barbecues, and happy hours are all in the works. Additionally, G.O.D. has prophesized appearances from such celebrities as KISS lead singer Gene Simmons, B-movie star and FAKK2 model Julie Strain, and Playboy cover model Jaime Bergman.

Purists interested in nothing more than games will be pleased to know that eight games, including the much-anticipated Max Payne, will be shown (only in video form) at G.O.D.'s Promised Lot. The full list includes the following:

Darkstone from Dephine Software Grand Theft Auto 2 from DMA DesignNocturne from Terminal RealityHeavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2 from Ritual EntertainmentKISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child from Third LawRune from Human Head Studios and Epic Games Max Payne from Remedy Entertainment and 3DRealms

Let's hope attendees won't find themselves wandering the parking lot for 40 years to reach the Promised Lot, located on the corner of Figueroa and Pico.
