Global Operations ships

Electronic Arts and Crave Entertainment have announced that Global Operations, their latest team-based shooter, has shipped and will soon arrive in stores. The game lets players assume the role of a member of an elite fighting force and take part in multiplayer battles set in one of 13 real-world locations. Players can create a custom character from one of six different classes, and they have access to more than 30 weapons including handguns, machine guns, shotguns, rifles, and antitank arms. The weapon physics in the game are accurately modeled to let players shoot through walls and ceilings depending on the distance and the caliber of the weapon. The game also includes a variety of other items including night-vision goggles, grenades and other explosive devices, and thermal-vision scopes.

Global Operations was developed by Vancouver-based Barking Dog Studios, and it will soon be available in stores for an approximate retail price of $39.99. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and download the playable demo linked below.
