Get 1 Year of Xbox Live Gold for $40 Right Now

Take your pick, as Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy are all offering the discount.

A handful of retailers are now selling a year's subscription to Xbox Live Gold for a nice discount. Amazon, GameStop, and Best Buy all have it for $40 instead of $60.

There is no word on how long the deal will last, so if you're interested, you may want to act quickly. At the same time, Xbox Live is pretty frequently discounted, so you may have another chance in the future to get it on the cheap if you do miss out this time around.

In other Xbox deals news, Microsoft recently announced a $50 price cut on the Xbox One, bringing the system down to $300 to start. The discount applies to all models, including the game bundles and 1 TB versions.

The timing of the price drop is interesting, given that Microsoft is rumored to announce a smaller Xbox One model at its E3 2016 briefing later this month. Looking beyond that supposed console, Microsoft may also be working on a more powerful, VR-ready console for 2017.
