As the industry winds down from the D.I.C.E. Summit--two days of boozing, schmoozing, learning, and bestowing awards in Las Vegas--it turns it eyes toward the next major game event, the Game Developers Conference. This week, details concerning Will Wright's annual presentation were released, and while the description isn't exactly riveting ("Wright will explore topics related to next-generation game design and development strategies"), Will Wright rarely fails to dazzle attendees. Last year's GDC presentation by the Sims creator offered attendees the first demo of Spore, his upcoming life sim. This year? Who knows, but it's worth making plans ahead of time to attend. Wright's upcoming keynote address will take place on Thursday, March 23, from 12-1 p.m. (location to be announced). GDC will be held in San Jose, California, from March 20-24, 2006.
