National Video Game Day is today, September 12, and GameStop is celebrating with a two-day sale that's live now. The sale largely focuses on pre-owned games and collectibles, with only a few new games up for grabs for discounted prices. You only have through today to make your picks, and the best deals could sell out sooner. It's the perfect chance to catch up on the best games of the generation before the new consoles arrive.

On the games front, all pre-owned titles priced $30 and under are buy two, get one free. The possibilities are practically endless here, as GameStop has more than 9,000 pre-owned games that fall into that category. Notable titles include Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice ($28), Doom Eternal ($28), God of War ($18), and Control ($20).

As far as new games go, the main deal is on Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath Kollection, which is discounted to $35 on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. It includes the game and its expansion.

If you're in the market for a PS4 or Xbox One controller, GameStop is selling pre-owned first-party gamepads for $40 during the sale. Xbox One controllers will work with Xbox Series X, but DualShock 4 controllers will only work with backward compatible PS4 games (not PS5 titles).

Select collectibles--17 to be exact--are on sale for up to 55% off. Most notably, you can get the Funko Box: Pokemon for $20. The box comes with Pikachu and Squirtle Pop figures, two keychains, two stickers, and four pins. You can also grab the Game Moments: The Witcher III Funko Pop featuring Geralt and Leshen for $15. Outside of those two Pops, most of the deals are on Funko Pop pins, which are on sale for $5 each.
