GameCube enters the octagon

Crave has announced that its latest Ultimate Fighting Championship game, UFC: Throwdown, will appear on the GameCube and the PlayStation 2. Both versions of the game will place a special emphasis on the create-a-fighter mode, in which players will be able to train their creation by sparring with mixed martial-arts masters and entering small tournaments. As the created fighter continues to gain experience, players can eventually enter it into a tournament for the UFC championship belt.

Both versions of UFC: Throwdown are scheduled for release in Q2 2002.
