More details have come to light about the Frogger competition show that was announced earlier this year. Actor and comedian Damon Wayans Jr. (New Girl, Happy Endings) will host the Frogger TV show for Peacock with contestants competing to be named "America's finest Frogger." His co-host is Kyle Brandt of Good Morning Football.

Just like in the video game, the human contestants will take part in an obstacle course of physically demanding challenges. These challenges will "see contestants dodge treacherous traffic, leap over snapping gators, and hop over hungry hippos to conquer the course," according to Deadline.

Skill, strength, strategy, and problem-solving will be required of the contestants. The winner gets the title "America's finest Frogger" and a cash prize of $100,000.

The Frogger TV show was filmed in Australia, presumably due in part to the pandemic. It's produced by Eureka Productions, the company behind the sports-themed competition show Holey Moley.

13 hourlong episodes of Frogger are coming, but a release date has not been announced yet.
