Free Anarchy Online trial available

Funcom has released a fully downloadable version of Anarchy Online, its sci-fi massively multiplayer online role-playing game. This special-offer version of Anarchy Online lets players fully experience the game during a free seven-day trial period, with no obligation to purchase. According to Funcom, if players want to keep playing after the trial period is over, their credit cards will be charged for the current price of $29.99. After an additional three weeks, players will be charged their first monthly subscription fee.

Retailers currently offer box versions of Anarchy Online for approximately $39.99, and some customers have paid prices of up to $59.99. Funcom is also reminding prospective subscribers that reduced monthly fees are available for those who prepay for three- and six-month subscriptions.

The seven-day Anarchy Online trial can be downloaded from the official Anarchy Online Web site or downloaded from Funcom's FTP site. The official Anarchy Online Web site also contains an updated game manual.
